Conference Agenda

This conference will provide training in the development of a presence on the World Wide Web. Participants will learn how to use HTML (HyperText Markup Language) to create web pages with the aid of commercially available web editing software. Training will emphasize elements to consider in designing web pages to make best use of the medium and how to make them accessible to potential audiences.

A special emphasis will be placed on how religious communities and Church-related social service agencies are currently using web pages to present themselves and further their missions.

Participants will have the opportunity to work on initial designs for their own web pages and are encouraged to consider possible content and to bring some text materials in electronic format as well as scannable graphic materials for logos, etc.
