Conference, The Importance of Intercultural Dialogue: Rumi’s Perspective

hosted by the Lehigh Dialogue Center (LDC) in cooperation with Marywood University.

It is our pleasure to extend an invitation to an Intercultural & Interfaith Conference featuring Father Thomas Michel, SJ, as a speaker. Father Michel is a prominent figure in Vatican and a respected leader on Christian & Muslim Dialogue all over the world.

He will be speaking on Rumi’s perspective, advancing love and spirituality as a common bond between Christianity and Islam.

Fr. Michel is a director of Jesuit Secretariat for Interreligious Dialogue in Rome and the Ecumenical Secretary for the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences. He was also the director of the Islamic Office of Vatican Council for Interreligious Dialogue.

We would very much like to have your company on this conference sponsored by Lehigh Dialogue Center, Golden Generation Retreat Center, Marywood University and its Turkish students. It is designed to raise awareness on the importance of dialogue & understanding in greater Scranton area.

The Lehigh Dialogue Center is a non-profit organization established by a group of volunteers to organize various cultural, social and religious activities among all types of religious and ethnic groups to support and advance the harmony and cooperation in the Community. We believe that better integration with local communities will contribute to the peace, prosperity and harmony in our area.
